IRISS, the manufacturer of polymer infrared windows and associated electrical maintenance safety devices, is pleased confirm that Anthony Ballard has now been appointed Operations Director. He joined the company in Autumn last year as its Business Development Manager and has since been overseeing the development of the IRISS distributor network throughout EMEA.

One of the first of the new distributorship to be confirmed under his stewardship is in Norway; TCAM AS (www.tcam.no) based in Trondheim. The company specialises in infrared technology and currently supplies temperature switches, IR black bodies, pyrometers and infrared cameras for both industrial and maritime use throughout Norway.

The agreement adds the IRISS Polymer Infrared Windows and Delta T™ Alert to its dedicated product programme, a move that not only strengthens TCAM’s core business but also offers its customers distinct practical and performance advantages.

IRISS windows are unique in that they are made from opaque or clear polymer which not only makes them both vibration and shatterproof but also allows them to be any size or shape to suit the application. The IRISS Delta-T technology effectively tracks electrical system temperatures and sends that data to a computer hub for analysis and trending. Both are designed to protect personnel, assets and profitability.

“I know the benefits of the IRISS products, in terms of personnel safety and prevention of operational downtime, will be welcomed by our customers in Norway,” explained Tormod Selbekk, Chairman of TCAM AS.

He continued: “The size flexibility of IRISS windows and their compliance with multiple safety standards makes them ideal for use in industrial high voltage applications as well as for marine engineering. And we also see considerable scope for the IRISS Delta T™ Alert for both low and high voltage installations.”

IRISS infrared windows are the most certified in the industry with IEEE (impact and load), UL, cUL, Lloyds, CSA 22.2 14-13 for industrial control equipment, DNV and ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) credentials.
