IRISS GROWTH PROMPTS APPOINTMENTS IRISS GROWTH PROMPTS APPOINTMENTS - news feed from the Electrical News Portal

Although IRISS is currently best known for its industrial grade, polymer infrared windows for thermal imaging inspection, it is the wider scope of its business that is driving growth throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company now manufacturers and markets a range of electrical maintenance safety devices (EMSD), of which infrared windows is part. These products are designed to preserve productivity, protect the inspection team against arc flash and electrocution and safeguard profitability.

Indeed, this single source approach to effective and safe inspection has seen a sharp upswing in demand for IRISS products across EMEA, creating the need for additional staff.

The first of these new appointments made by the IRISS EMEA operation, based in Chelmsford, is David Smith. He is the company’s new Technical Sales Advisor and he brings with him proven expertise in the sale of instrumentation, automation and process control products as well as capital equipment.

David is also a level one thermographer and these combined qualities make him the ideal candidate for his new role with IRISS. A world-class competitive cyclist himself, David supported UK paralympians in the run up to London 2012 and continues to be heavily involved in elite disabled sport

David joins IRISS from Acute Sales, the distributor of electrical and electronic test tools and previous to that he held various posts with the Sequoia Technology Group.
