SELECT provides free training to membership companies
Since October, SELECT, Scotland’s trade association for the electrical industry, has offered each of its member companies a free day of training for one of their staff. In a bid to promote training through the recession and help members reduce overheads and maintain technical standards, SELECT has provided 450 days of free training to membership companies and is hoping to sign off over 800 more by the end of June. The WorldSkills competition takes place every two years and has been running since 1953. This year’s event is taking place from 5 – 8 October at Excel London.
