Total Electrical Training opens new training facility in Birmingham
(02/06/2008)
Total Electrical Training has announced the opening of a new training facility in Birmingham, one of a chain of training centres launched between 2006 and 2008. The move is part of a concerted plan of expansion to handle both increased business from corporate customers and the anticipated surge in demand for training as a result of the introduction of the 17th edition of the IEE wiring regulations.
The Birmingham training centre will be housed in the Wolseley Group's Electric Center wholesaling facility on the Parkway Industrial Estate, just off the inner ring road. As well as easy access to the facility from the A38 (M) Aston Expressway, the centre is also conveniently located for Birmingham New Street Station as well as other public transport links. There is also a Campanile Hotel, with a restaurant, nearby.
"Located in the UK's second city, the new centre will offer the best possible transport links for our flagship Midlands facility," explained Chris Atkin, the company's managing director. "I see the role of this unit as crucial in catering to our corporate customers, because so much of the UK's electrical industry is located in the midlands."
The opening of the Birmingham centre is likely to be followed by the introduction of another facility in the East Midlands, located in Corby.
