Chalmor commits to produce low energy lighting, automatic lighting and heating control
(17/02/2012)
Gavin Shuker, MP and Shadow Environment Minister, visited energy-saving innovators, Chalmor at their HQ in Luton this week, 14th February, 2012.
Steven Henry, Managing Director, explained the company’s commitment to producing low energy lighting, automatic lighting controls and energy saving heating controls.
One of the highlights of the visit was a presentation on the latest product – eTRV – the ‘intelligent’ energy-saving electronic thermostatic radiator valve that can produce up to 25% savings on heating in an average 3-bedroom home cutting gas and oil central heating bills and reducing carbon emissions.
eTRV is equally useful in commercial buildings. A recent installation at the University of Bristol saw significant savings of 34% being made in their student accommodation.
Amongst the company’s HQ team that Gavin Shuker met on his tour was the latest – and youngest – staff member, 18-year-old Nicole Balogh, a Marketing Apprentice from Luton.
