Noral Lighting and Side Lighting products are now available from LedLex

Following the bankruptcy of the Noral lighting group last year, the company’s assets have been bought by a Swedish lighting company and production is slowly starting after moving the factory to a modern facility in the heart of Sweden.

In the UK, Noral’s office closed at the end of August 2009. Sales of Noral products are now through a new company, LedLex Ltd based in Rugby. LedLex are authorized assemblers of Noral products, allowing them to offer a flexible service and shorter lead times.

The Noral range consists of high quality domestic exterior lighting, many with a 25 year corrosion warranty. Additionally Noral manufacture an extensive range of Park and Street lighting in traditional and contemporary designs. These have been extensively installed across the UK, giving a long, trouble free service. Noral products are particularly suitable for coastal areas where their pure aluminum castings with chromated pre-coat and powder coat finish makes them well suited to the salt laden atmospheres found there.

To complement the Noral range, LedLex Ltd also sells the Side Lighting range manufactured in Italy. This commercial lighting range is aimed at retail, sports, and other commercial premises requiring a well made product at a reasonable price. Side lighting have a catalogue of interior and exterior lighting running to 8,500 products, including down lights, track lighting, plighting and street lighting.

Side are a long established privately owned company with all its manufacturing still carried out in Italy. Throughout 2010 Side are introducing many new products using both LED and traditional lamp sources. They are particularly specialized in exterior lighting and up lighting, with their extensive Olodum range being a market leader in Europe. In addition they manufacture a strong range of low level LED lighting and LED step lighting.

There is also a dedicated LedLex range of LED lighting. LedLex manufacture and supply these products to provide a high light output, with a consistent quality. With so much choice in LED products, it is hard to find products that give a good performance at an affordable price. The LedLex LED lighting range is one of the most extensive LED lighting ranges in the UK. The range is aimed at installers and designers who wish to use the energy saving properties that are only now coming to market using LED technologies. Up until 2010 most products manufactured using LED light sources were only useful for highlighting and marking. The power of the LEDs was too low.

Now there are LEDs coming to market with efficiencies of 130lumens/watt which can be used for useful lighting. However many existing products being sold are still very low power with fantastic claims being made regarding their longevity and performance.
