atg airports is implementing their 2010 calendar of training courses covering airfield lighting and working practises. Held at the company’s training facility at its HQ near Warrington, the courses not only embrace the latest regulations and safe working practises, they include general training for both civil and military design and maintenance, AGL control systems, constant current regulators and luminaires.

Whilst the courses are targeted toward airside engineers, they are also very popular with a variety of different personnel covering all aspects of airfield operations. Such is atg’s commitment to the industry, it also offers bespoke training courses which often take place on-site at individual airports.

Antonio Garrido, Managing Director of atg airports, explains: “We are fully committed to the issue of training and our onsite facilities are second to none. Whilst our courses are designed to cover the practical aspects of airfield lighting in conjunction with atg’s products, they also serve to re-enforce the importance of achieving optimum engineering and technical excellence in line with all current regulations.”

Antonio continues: “atg is renowned for delivering creative yet practical solutions to complex airfield challenges and our training courses are no exception. They provide practical, flexible, and most of all effective guidance on a wide range of complex issues.”

All courses are led by an experienced team of atg personnel and, catering for a maximum of 12 people dependent upon the course, are professionally delivered in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and involve practical 'hands-on' tuition.

The atg portfolio includes approach, taxiway, and runway lighting fittings, Clearway airfield guidance signs, a broad range of fully-integrated AGL control systems, Phase Angle Controlled or sine wave output Micro range of CCR’s. The company also differentiates itself by offering and providing complete airfield lighting installation and maintenance services worldwide.
