Venture Lighting Europe has launched ePOD, a control gear capsule designed for mounting above the luminaire, eliminating the need for a traditional high-bay housing. Utilising Venture’s Ventronic control gear, the e-POD is suspended vertically on top of the luminaire, to provide a streamlined effect.

Designed specifically in response to demand, the ePOD is ideally suited for areas where there is limited or no fixing space for separate control gear units.

The ePOD incorporates Venture’s electronic ballast for high wattage HID light sources that allows optimum energy efficiency through daylight linking, timer, or occupancy sensor, as well as a number of additional advanced features that improve economy, performance and lamp life.

With Ventronic, users of HID lighting are able to achieve the energy saving and performance benefits previously associated with fluorescent lighting. Ventronic is lightweight and completely silent, has no start-up current and is encapsulated within a thermally designed convective casing.

ePOD can be used with Venture’s Pulse Start lamps, the product is fully EMC compliant and complies with relevant sections of EN-61347-1.

ePOD has been specifically developed for the luminaire manufacturer to easily and cost effectively build into their own complete, latest technology High-bay fixture and will be ‘private label’ branded.
