Efficiency calculator tool allows the calculation of the optimum configuration of the Trinergy system
(10/06/2010)
Chloride's Trinergy efficiency calculator provides comparative data on the energy efficiency, financial and CO2 savings achievable with Trinergy compared to other UPS.
The Trinergy efficiency calculator tool allows the calculation of the optimum configuration of the Trinergy system according to the necessary power requirements of data centres, hospitals, airports and industrial applications. Inputting basic information about energy use, the calculator will automatically generate results to reveal the savings achievable with Trinergy. It will also provide information regarding the optimum UPS configuration for the requested load.
“The Trinergy efficiency calculator is a valuable tool and gives concrete evidence to customers about the savings that can be achieved with Trinergy,” explained Chloride’s Technical Support Manager, Rob Tanzer. “Our Trinergy UPS operates with an average efficiency of 98%, which, compared to a typical 1,000kW legacy UPS system, can cut the cost of energy losses from the UPS by 75%. The CO2 savings could equate to as much as 600 tonnes per year.”
Trinergy is the most energy efficient Class 1 UPS currently available for protecting mission critical infrastructure, such as Tier 3 and Tier 4 data centres, from disruptions to mains power supply. Trinergy is the first UPS that is able to automatically select the most appropriate of the three industry standard operating configurations – Maximum Power Control (VFI), Maximum Energy Saving (VFD) and Power Conditioning (VI). Its modular design means that it can grow as the site requires, providing up to a maximum of 9.6 MW of active power, thus minimizing initial capital costs and avoiding the inevitable loss of efficiency that results from operating at partial loads.
