The University of East London's Docklands campus is being expanded as part of a £110 million programme of development at UEL’s Docklands and Stratford campuses designed by award-winning architects BDP (Building Design Partnership). Knowledge Dock, UEL’s business services arm, works with over 2,000 companies and entrepreneurs. Currently housing 18 companies, the facility is scheduled to move into the new Business School and Knowledge Dock Centre later this year.

The cable management system for both mains power and low voltage electrical services has been supplied by MITA to the University of East London (UEL) through electrical contractors Bancroft.

This includes cable containment in offices, resource centres and lecture theatres in two major new buildings on the Docklands campus.

Three compartment Cableline Envoy has been used throughout the UEL’s two-storey Knowledge Dock Centre and the four-storey Business School now nearing completion by HBG Construction. Over 1,500 metres of Envoy were supplied through electrical wholesalers Medlock Electrical Distributors.

With dimensions of 180 x52mm, Cableline Envoy provides containment and protection for all data-communications cabling for the extensive networked IT systems, as well as for mains power distribution wiring and other low voltage electrical services, including fire and security systems.
