Aggreko is investing £520,000 in new specialist delivery vehicles for its Bristol service centre to further improve its operations throughout the south-west. Two Scania 480bhp R series CR19 trucks have been acquired to enable the company to provide fast delivery of temporary power generators, electrical distribution and temperature control equipment for customers. They will operate out of the company’s service centre in Avonmouth.

Robert Wells, area general manager for Aggreko in the south-west, said: “We’ve made this major investment to enable us to offer an improved and more flexible service for our customers across the region. We previously sub-contracted our haulage requirements, but having these new vehicles means we can now offer a much faster service for our customers. In addition, we also have our own specially trained drivers and operators who can provide 24/7 delivery, as and when required.

“As the UK moves out of recession and business picks up, we are extremely confident about Aggreko’s future in the south-west and by investing in our service centre we are very well placed to meet increased customer demand.”
