OceanLED launches LIET interior and exterior lighting range for yachts

OceanLED has announced the launch of LIET - an interior and exterior lighting range - ensuring that 100 per cent LED lighting for yachts is now a reality. LIET has been designed to become an advanced, intelligent, high output LED lighting collection.

The first LIET models to be introduced to the range are LIET3 and LIET6. Both feature spectacular brightness, stylish bezel designs, a range of unique colour correcting filters and superior efficiency when compared to standard halogen bulbs and current leading LED competitor products.

One major driving force behind OceanLEDs LIET project has been the desire to achieve correct colour temperature of the light produced. The result of which is seen in 3 different LED colour temperature options and a range of colour correction filters. These filters are uniquely designed to subtly shift the hue to suit certain environments; for example, the use in a bedroom of a hint of pink to accentuate the linens or, a touch of amber to highlight the striking detail in the marble of a bathroom. This brilliant yet simple system allows designers for the very first time far greater scope in managing not only colour temperatures, but actual colour hues.

Each light in the range is housed in a polymer body that is just 9mm thick yet incorporates the light’s entire electronic driver circuitry. This includes a built in 0-10v dimming system compatible with all known control systems and a self-diagnostic fault indication system surrounded by precision optics over each LED in the unit.

LIET is small and attractive, yet boasts an immense amount of power. For example, in the LIET6, the high power LEDs consume a miniscule 5.3w in total, yet deliver a massive 584 Lumens in the first stage output prior to secondary stage collimated magnification via T.I.R. (total internal reflection), boosting peak intensity by over 500%. At up to ten times brighter than the best of the leading competition, LIET6’s design creates the equivalent light output of a GU10 50w Halogen bulb.

All lights in the LIET range have been designed with a 60 degree beam, coveted correct colour temperatures and a perfect evenness of light spread to prevent dark or light spots.

LIET3 and LIET6 are available in both surface and fully recessed models available in soft white, bright white and daylight with a range of optional colour correcting filters and antiglare honeycomb baffle to discreetly conceal the lighting unit.
