Venture Uni-Form Pulse Start lamps and control gear reduce MANN+HUMMEL running costs

MANN+HUMMEL (UK) Ltd, who manufacture and market the automotive aftermarket MANN-FILTER, brand of replacement filters, were having considerable issues with the existing lamps, which were cycling at the end of life with up to 20 or 30 lamps out at any one time in the 3,000m2 warehouse area.

Lamps and control gear from Venture Lighting Europe have been used to resolve a variety of lighting problems at the Aftermarket Distribution Centre of MANN+HUMMEL (UK) LTD in Wolverhampton.

Following an assessment by the MANN+HUMMEL in-house electrical team, it was agreed that a new lighting system, using Venture’s Uni-Form® Pulse Start 350W lamps and Ventronic Dimmable control gear, would to be the perfect solution to the problems, whilst significantly reducing running costs. By replacing the lamps and modifying the existing fittings, the project was also completed quickly and with minimum disruption.

The change of lamps from the old standard 400W to Venture’s high output 350W Uni-Form® Pulse Start lamps, combined with the company’s Ventronic Dimmable control gear connected into end of aisle sensors, has resulted in a very effective, energy efficient and trouble free system for MANN+HUMMEL.

Uni-Form® Pulse Start lamps provide the ultimate energy saving solution, with no change to lux level, longer lamp life, faster warm up time and better colour uniformity. The Ventronic High Wattage Dimmable control gear can be used with any of the Venture lamps from 200W – 600W and allows the lamps to be automatically dimmed by up to 50% when connected via movement or lux sensor.

Following the installation, MANN+HUMMEL Aftermarket Distribution Centre Manager, Gary Simmons, commented “We are delighted with the new lighting. Our initial concern was to get the lighting working correctly and efficiently, however we soon realised that by simply changing to the new lamps and control gear our running costs will drop dramatically, which over a year will make a significant difference”.
