The latest TeBar earth bonding systems from Termate combine fast, straightforward installation and ease of modification with provision for safe and certain disconnection of the earth conductor.

Built around dual copper earth bars that are supported by purpose-designed moulded insulators, TeBar bonding systems allow clamped earth connections to be made at any point along their length without the need for drilling. Additional connections can also be added quickly and easily wherever they are needed.

To maximise safety under all conditions, the systems incorporate a disconnect link that can be optionally spring loaded. The link allows the earth conductor to be readily disconnected for testing and other purposes, as required by the IEE Wiring Regulations and, if the spring option is fitted, inadvertent reconnection of the earth conductor is virtually impossible.

TeBar earth bonding systems are available in both open and enclosed versions. Open versions are offered as standard in 600 A and 800 A ratings with provision for up to 50 earth connections, while standard enclosed versions are available to accommodate either 9 or 15 connections. Custom versions, both open and enclosed, can also be supplied quickly and at very competitive prices.

The systems are fully load tested and certified, and are capable of withstanding he thermal effects of a 30 kA short-circuit fault of one second duration. To guard against tarnish and corrosion when used in adverse environments, all copper parts are tinned and the fixings are electroplated. The insulators are moulded from halogen-free low-smoke material that fully meets UL94-V0 requirements.

To complement its TeBar systems, Termate offers a full range of accessories that include fishplates for linking multiple systems in large installations, wall mounting kits, and connectors to facilitate the use of the systems with braid and with cables up to 120 mm2.
