Energy efficiency is high on the news agenda and is a topic that continues to create interest. Newey & Eyre is partnering with Schneider Electric to provide customers with a better understanding of energy usage, helping them to identify monitoring and efficiency opportunities.

Working together on a 12 month project, Newey & Eyre’s national sales team has engaged in training sessions, led by Schneider Electric’s energy efficiency experts. Covering elements of lighting, automation, power factor correction, drives and metering, the seminars will enable Schneider Electric’s specialist energy management and legislative knowledge to be delivered to Newey & Eyre’s established network of customers.

With a great knowledge of new legislation and government initiatives, Schneider Electric is one of Newey & Eyre’s energy efficient partners and their expertise makes energy management logical and straight forward.

The training focuses on Schneider Electric’s four steps to energy efficiency programme, to help customers reduce electricity consumption; Measure, Fix the Basics, Automate, Monitor and Improve. The programme also details the benefits of Schneider Electric’s energy efficient solutions, most of which are core products stocked at Newey and Eyre branches nationwide and also now available at Newey’s online webshop.

Kevin Norman, category manager at Newey & Eyre explains: “Through our established relationship with Schneider Electric we have been able to work together to educate our network of customers on energy efficient practices and solutions, preparing them for changes in legislation.

“With cost reduction remaining the focus for many businesses in the difficult economic climate, this expert knowledge will enable them to manage their energy and identify where further savings can be made in the future.”
