ATLAS clarifies how risk assessments should be performed under BS EN 62305

Contractors in the lightning protection industry may have received correspondence regarding “official risk assessment software” for BS EN 62305. Professionals unprepared for new Protection against Lightning standards

September 2008 will see the biggest change in lightning protection standards for over 20 years, as the old BS 6651:1999 Protection against Lightning is finally withdrawn, to be fully replaced by BS EN 62305:2006. BSI Lightning Protection conference helps address standards changes

In August 2008, BS 6651:1999 Code of Practice for protection of structures against lightning is being withdrawn and replaced by the BS EN 62305 series of standards on Protection against Lightning.
