£125 Trade-in offer for purchasers of a Fluke 1652 or 1653 Multifunction Tester
(18/09/2007)
The IEC 61557 standard for installation testers has recently been re-issued to bring it in line with revisions to IEC 60364 and its national equivalents - in the UK BS7671 - and to increase safety for installation tester users. The Fluke 1650 Series Multifunction Installation Testers, which verify the safety of electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial applications, comply with this update.
For a limited period, customers purchasing a new Fluke 1652 or 1653 Multifunction Installation Tester can claim £125 or a free Fluke 117 Digital Multimeter (DMM) when trading in an old tester. After purchase, the customer simply completes a voucher and sends either an old multifunction tester or two single-function testers, plus proof of purchase, to Fluke to make the claim.
The Fluke 1652 and 1653 are easy to operate, feature a large backlit display with a wide viewing angle, have a unique ergonomic design, and a padded neck-strap to free the hands of the operator.
They carry out primary tests of voltage, frequency, continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance, PSC and PFC tests, and perform automatic trip time and tripping current level (ramp) tests of RCDs. They use a patented technology to prevent electronic and passive type RCDs from tripping during earth-loop testing, whilst also giving highly consistent and repeatable results.
The 1653 model stores test results, which can be uploaded later to a PC to generate reports with optional FlukeView Forms software, and carries out earth resistance and phase sequence measurements.
The Fluke 1650 Series vouchers for the trade-in / Fluke 117 DMM promotion plus full terms and conditions can be downloaded from the Fluke web site. Fluke is running another trade-in scheme, for portable appliance testers with the Fluke 6500 PAT, also displayed on the website.
